Privacy Choices

The Privacy Policy describes the information FinDex handles. This page explains the controls that are actually available in the current app.

View account information

FinDex Settings shows the signed-in email address, connected sign-in methods, and a non-secret Support ID. You may connect or remove a supported Apple or Google method, but the final method cannot be removed. The current app does not offer an in-app email-address or display-name editor. Contact support@findexaquarium.com if you need help with account information; we may need to verify the request.

Edit or delete tanks and fish

Open a tank or fish record and choose its edit control to change supported details. Use the delete action on that record to remove it. Deleting a tank leaves its fish records in the Fish library without a tank. Deleting a fish removes that saved fish record.

Replace or delete photos

Editing a tank or fish record lets you replace its saved photo. Deleting the record removes its associated record photo. Deleting a scan, chat context, fish, tank, or the account removes related active FinDex content according to the relationships described in the Privacy Policy. A deleted AI result does not restore a complimentary use.

Decline or withdraw AI data sharing

AI features are optional. You may choose Not Now in the AI data-sharing disclosure and continue using manual aquarium records. If you previously accepted, open FinDex Settings and choose Withdraw AI Data Sharing Consent. Future OpenAI requests remain blocked until you review and accept the disclosure again.

Withdrawal does not undo provider processing already completed. Delete supported records or the account to remove active FinDex copies. Review the Privacy Policy for processor retention limits.

Delete the FinDex account

Open Settings, choose Delete Account, then complete provider reauthentication and the typed confirmation. See the exact Account Deletion instructions. Apple-linked deletion also requests Apple authorization revocation. This removes the active FinDex account and associated app data but does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Manage an Apple subscription

Use Manage Subscription in FinDex Settings or Apple's subscription settings to view or cancel FinDex Pro. Use Restore Purchases to reconnect an eligible purchase. Apple controls billing, cancellation, and refunds.

Ask a privacy question

Email support@findexaquarium.com to ask about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights that may apply where you live. FinDex has no in-app data-export tool in the current version, so an applicable access or export request must be made by email. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account. Never send your password.

Sale and cross-app tracking

FinDex does not sell personal information and does not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. FinDex does not configure cross-app tracking, and the reviewed app contains no advertising network or data-broker integration. Because these practices do not occur, FinDex does not present a misleading "Do Not Sell" switch.

Website choices

This static website has no FinDex analytics, advertising pixels, account login, contact form, or cookie-setting script. GitHub Pages may still process ordinary website request information under GitHub's privacy practices.
