Email support@findexaquarium.com when the steps below do not solve the issue. Do not send a password, API key, complete payment-card number, or an unnecessary sensitive photo.

Sign up and sign in

Create an account

Choose Continue with Apple, Continue with Google, or Continue with Email when those methods are available in your build. Email accounts use an address you can access and a password of at least eight characters. Review the Privacy Policy and Terms before continuing. A child under 13 may not create or control an account independently; a parent or legal guardian may use their own account with a child under supervision.

Verify your email

Open the newest FinDex verification message on the same iPhone where FinDex is installed. Older links may no longer work after a new message is requested. If the email does not appear, check spam, confirm the address, wait a few minutes, then use Send New Link. Return to FinDex and refresh verification status.

Sign-in problems

Confirm the selected sign-in method, check the network connection, and try again. For email, confirm the address and password. If the app was already signed in after an email link, return to FinDex and choose I Already Confirmed. Do not share an email verification or recovery link with anyone.

Reset a password

Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen. Open the newest password-reset email on the iPhone where FinDex is installed, choose a new password, and return to the app. Request a new link if the previous one is incomplete or expired.

Tank and fish records

Use Tanks or Fish in the main navigation. You can add fish before assigning a tank, move a fish later, edit record details, replace photos, or delete a record from its detail page. Required form fields display a message when information needs attention.

Deleting a tank leaves its fish in the Fish library without a tank. Deleting a fish or tank also attempts to remove that record's saved photo. These manual record features do not require FinDex Pro.

Camera and photo-library access

FinDex requests camera or photo access when you choose Take Photo or Choose Photo. If permission was denied, open iPhone Settings, select FinDex, then enable Camera or the appropriate Photos access. Return to FinDex and try again.

Use a clear, well-lit image and confirm that the upload finishes before leaving the form. Photos used for optional AI analysis also require active AI data-sharing consent.

AI analyses and conversations

AI features require a verified email, active AI data-sharing consent, and a network connection. You can begin a text question without a photo and attach a photo later when useful. Existing fish or tank details are used as context only when that conversation is connected to the record.

Every eligible verified account receives two complimentary AI analyses shared by fish photo identification, aquarium analysis, follow-up questions, image-assisted record drafts, and care reports. A use is counted when provider processing begins. Signing out, reinstalling, or changing devices does not reset the server-managed allowance. After both uses are consumed, continued AI use requires FinDex Pro.

If AI access or history cannot be loaded, confirm the expected FinDex account, return the app to the foreground, check the connection, and use Try Again. A request may remain counted when provider processing began before a timeout or invalid result.

AI identification and care suggestions may be incorrect. FinDex provides general aquarium guidance, not veterinary diagnosis or medication instructions. Confirm species and care requirements with reliable sources or a qualified professional.

Buy FinDex Pro

Sign in, open an AI feature after the complimentary allowance is used or choose View FinDex Pro in Settings, then select an Apple product shown in the app. Apple displays the current localized price and billing period before purchase. FinDex Pro is an auto-renewing subscription and remains subject to usage limits.

If no products appear, confirm that you are using a development build, TestFlight build, or App Store build with the correct Apple sandbox or store account, check the connection, and choose Try Again. Expo Go cannot perform a real RevenueCat App Store purchase.

Restore Purchases

  1. Sign in to the FinDex account that should receive the entitlement.
  2. Confirm the iPhone is using the Apple account that made the purchase.
  3. Open FinDex Settings.
  4. Choose Restore Purchases.

Restore does not create a new subscription or charge you again. If no active purchase is found, check both the FinDex account and Apple account before contacting support.

Manage or cancel FinDex Pro

Open FinDex Settings and choose Manage Subscription. You can also open iPhone Settings, choose your name, choose Subscriptions, then select FinDex. Apple controls billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund eligibility. Deleting FinDex or deleting the FinDex account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Delete your account

Open FinDex Settings, choose Delete Account, review the subscription warning, enter the current password, type DELETE, and confirm. See the Account Deletion instructions for the data removed and processor limitations.

Privacy and AI consent

Read the Privacy Policy and Privacy Choices. To stop future AI transmissions, open FinDex Settings and choose Withdraw AI Data Sharing Consent. Manual tank and fish tracking continues to work.

Contact support

Email support@findexaquarium.com. Include the device platform, app version if known, the action you attempted, the exact non-secret error message, and the Support ID from FinDex Settings when relevant. Never send your password.
